| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre and the Johann Strauss School of Music, in collaboration with the Manoel Theatre Academy of Dramatic Arts (M.T.A.D.A.), present the programme for the 3-act comic opera "Jeannot et Colin", written by Charles-Guillaume Étienne, with music composed by Nicolò Isouard. The opera was translated into Maltese by Joseph Huber, and artistically directed by Carmel S. Aquilina, with musical direction from Joseph Vella. The performance featured the Senior Orchestra of the Johann Strauss School of Music, led by Mario Bisazza, and conducted by Joseph Vella. The choir members in the performance were trained by Eirioes Thomas-Jones. The performance was held on the 1st and the 2nd of June, 1991, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. |
| Description: | Two copies of programme included, one with performers'/crews' signatures, and the other without. Both programmes include list of cast, list of choir members, short note of acknowledgements to the Alliance Française de Malte and the Nicolo Isouard Band of Mosta, list of backstage crew including those from M.T.A.D.A.'s stage management course and the Senior Orchestra of the School of Music, list of crew from Manoel Theatre, synopsis of each act of the opera, and list of acknowledgements from the Manoel Theatre Management Committee.
