Abstract: Manoel Theatre and Maleth, in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and the Arts, present the programme for the 3-act operetta "Lejl ġo Venezja", translated into Maltese from F. Zell's (AKA Camillo Walzel) and Richard Genée's "Eine Nacht in Venedig" by Joe Fenech, with music originally composed by Johann Strauss, and artistically directed by Frank Tanti, with musical direction from Mario Fenech. The performance featured the Guardamangia Youth Choir (directed by choir mistress Anna Vella Zarb, and led by Rose Ciantar), and the dance group "Guys & Dolls" (led and choreographed by Olivia Camilleri). The performance was held from the 5th till the 7th of March, 1993, at Manoel Theatre, in Valletta.
Description: Two copies of programme included, one with performers'/crews' signatures, and the other without. Both programmes include photos of artistic director Frank Tanti, musical director Mario Fenech, translator/actor Joe Fenech, and cast members Miriam Cauchi, John Dimech, Simone Zammit, Dorrain Ruffini and Victor Apap, list of cast, list of backstage crew, note of acknowledgements from Maleth, photos of cast members Michael Sciortino, Rose Ciantar, Mary Rose Bonello, Emanuel Cassar, Juan Gambina, Marcel Zammit Marmarà and Salv Tanti and choreographer Olivia Camilleri, list of members with group photo of the Guardamangia Youth Choir, list of members of Guys & Dolls, and list of members of Maleth's Committee.
