Abstract: Manoel Theatre presents the programme for a vocal and instrumental concert held on the occasion of the Fifth Conference of European Ministers of Labour. The concert starred singers Maria Frendo (soprano), Gillian Zammit (soprano), Marie Thérèse Vassallo (alto), Brian Cefai (tenor), Joe Huber (bass), and Jean Paul Attard (bass). The concert also starred pianist Natascha Chirchop. The concert featured the musical works of Nicolò Isouard, Paolino Vassallo, Francesco Azopardi, Carmelo Pace, and Joseph Vella. The performance was held on the 28th and the 29th of October, 1993, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta.
Description: Two copies of programme included, one with performers' signatures, and the other without. Both programmes include list of featured music including composers, biographies/descriptions and featured performers where applicable, and essay on conductor/composer Joseph Vella. Programme is given no. 1430 in archival records. Retrieved from the Manoel theatre records.
