| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre and Soċjeta Filarmonika Pinto presents the programme for a symphonic and choral concert conducted by Mro. Fominic Darmanin, led by Mro. James Chappell, presented by George Perresso, and performed by Banda San Sebastjan and Kor Da Camera "Amadeus". The concert also starred singers Brian Cefai (tenor) and Marita Bazzina (soprano). The concert featured the musical works of Anthony Chircop, Joseph Magri, Wagner, Rossini, and Verdi. The performance was held on the 26th of February, 1994, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. |
| Description: | Two versions of programme included, one misprint version with some duplicate and missing pages and featured performers' signatures, and the other without misprints or signatures. Non-misprint programme includes list of featured music, essay on Soċjeta Filarmonika Pinto, list of acknowledgements, list of featured music including composers, descriptions and featured performers where applicable, note with photo on composer Mro. Chev. Joseph Magri, note with photo on conductor Mro. Dominic Darmanin, notes with photos on singers Brian Cefai and Marita Bezzina, note on Kor Da Camera Amadeus, and group photos of Banda San Sebastjan at Każin Pinto and Kor Da Camera 'Amadeus'. Misprint version has duplicate pages with list of featured music including composers, descriptions and featured composers instead of pages with list of acknowledgements and with note with photo on composer Mro. Joseph Magri. Programme is given no. 1451 in archival records. Retrieved from the Manoel theatre records. |
