Abstract: Manoel Theatre and the La Valette Fifth Centenary Celebrations Committee presents the programme for a vocal and orchestral concert, conducted by Mro. Michael Laus, led by Marcelline Agius, and performed by the Manoel Theatre Orchestra. The concert featured a choir led by choir master Mro. Dion Buhagiar. The concert featured the musical works of Nicolò Isouard, Joseph Agius, and Charles Camilleri. The performance was held on the occasion of the XXXIVth CIESM Congress, on the 30th of March, 1995, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta.
Description: Programme includes list of featured music including composers and short note on pianist Alan Joseph Chircop, lists of soloists, pianist and choir members, and detailed note on the play "The Maltese Cross" including detailed descriptions on particular musical pieces within the play. The programme also included a separate paper likely given at the time of the event, informing that the Isouard Variations would not be performed due to the indisposition of pianist Alan Chircop. Programme is given no. 1504A in archival records. Retrieved from the Manoel theatre records.
