Abstract: Manoel Theatre presents the programme for a concert of Mozart's Requiem (K. 626), performed by the Amadeus Chamber Choir (led by assistant choir director Michelle Cachia Castelletti) and Orchestra (led by Tatjana De Gabriele). The concert was musically directed by Brian Cefai, and starred soloists Charmaine Cortis (soprano), Marita Bezzina (soprano), Marie Thérèse Vassallo (contralto), Andrew Sapiano (tenor), and Tony Montebello (bass). The concert also featured organist Hugo Agius Muscat. The performance was held on the 7th of June, 1996, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta.
Description: Programme includes introduction written by musical director Brian Cefai with his photo, essay with group photo on the Amadeus Chamber Choir, lists of sopranos, contraltos, tenors and basses in the Amadeus Chamber Choir, lists of soloists and involved directors/leaders, notes with photos on singers Charmaine Cortis, Andrew Sapiano, Marita Bezzina, Anthony Montebello and Marie Thérèse Vassallo, musical director Brian Cefai and organist Dr Hugo Agius Muscat, and programme notes on Mozart's Requiem compiled by Hugo Agius.
