| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre presents the programme for the Valentino Brucchi Festival of Music, featuring a solo piano recital performed by pianist Ricardo Martinez Descalzo; a cello and piano recital performed by pianist Alvaro Teixeira Lopes and cellist José Pereira de Sousa; and a duo piano recital performed by pianists Ilia Toschev and Velislava Stoyanova. The recitals featured the musical works of Beethoven, Debussy, Ravel, Schumann, Guerra Vicente, Falla, Schubert, Wilhelm Friedmann Bach, Martinů, Stravinsky, Poulenc, and M. Infante. The piano recital performed by Ricardo Martinez Descalzo was held on the 11th of April; while the cello and piano recital performed by Alvaro Teixeira Lopes and José Pereira de Sousa was held on the 12th of April; and the duo recital performed by Ilia Toschev and Velislava Stoyanova was held on the 15th of April, 2000. All of the festival performances were held at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. |
