Abstract: Manoel Theatre, with the support of Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna, presents the programme for "The Rape of Mnajdra: In Concert", conducted by Stephen Maw and Michael Laus, and performed by Orkestra Nazzjonali. The recital featured the musical works of Richard Strauss, Charles Camilleri, Rossini, and Tchaikovsky. The performance was held on the 16th of June, 2001, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta.
Description: Two copies of programme included, one with conductors Stephen Maw's and Michael Laus' signatures, and the other one without. Both programmes include list of Manoel Theatre Management Committee, list of sponsors to the Manoel Theatre Management Committee, notes with details on performances and bookings at the Manoel Theatre, essay on the vandalism of Mnajdra which sparked the creation of this concert written by executive director of Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna Mario Farrugia, note on Orkestra Nazzjonali, notes on conductors Stephen Maw and Michael Laus, list of featured music including composers, note on additional events occurring on the same day in commemoration of the same event, notes on featured music in the programme, note advertising the Theatre Museum, note advertising the Manoel Theatre Shop, and note advertising related food establishments Café Diva and Ristorante de Vilhena.
