Abstract: Recent research shows that health misinformation represents a global health threat and significantly impacts midwifery care, increasing stress, burnout risk, workplace conflict, and poses ethical dilemmas, leading to eroding trust and subpar care being provided to women in their care. A multi-wave global survey (n=2000) was launched to capture and assess midwives’ experiences with misinformation. Results highlight how different information environments impact midwives across countries, guiding interventions to support midwives in managing this complexity effectively. These insights can enhance women’s safety, improve health outcomes, and inform curriculum development and midwifery education globally. [extract]
