| Abstract: | The discovery and development of new drugs is slow, time-consuming and costly. An increasingly attractive option is ‘repurposing’, which is the process of finding new uses for existing drugs. This proposition of repurposing (also called ‘drug repositioning’) has spurred the research community as it has a promising potential to fast track already used drugs into clinical studies for new clinical indications. |
