Abstract: This is a 20-minute contemporary adaptation for young audiences, based on Antigone by Sophocles. The original adaptation concept, participant framing, and dramaturgical direction are by Prof. Isabelle Gatt. The script realised in collaboration is by Mr Malcolm Galea. This is an unpublished script that was first publicly performed during the 2022 Trikki Trakki Youth Theatre Festival at the Blue Box Theatre (M Space) in Msida, Malta, and was subsequently performed by Hawke’s Bay Youth Theatre at the Keirunga Creative Arts Venue in New Zealand from 3–5 November 2022.
