Abstract: Manoel Theatre and Bank of Valletta (BOV) present the programme for the 3-act opera "L'Amico Fritz", written by Nicola Daspuro (under pseudonym P. Suardon), with music composed by Pietro Masagni, and artistically directed by Werner Heinrichmöller with his assistant Kornelia Klenner. The performance featured the Orkestra Nazzjonali, musically directed by Michael Laus, and led by Marcelline Agius. The performance also featured the Manoel Theatre Choir, directed by chorus mistress Simone Attard. The performance was held as part of the BOV Opera Festival 2004, on the 15th and the 16th of March, 2004, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta.
Description: Two copies of programme included, one with performers'/crews' signatures, and the other without. Both programmes include list of Manoel Theatre Management Committee, list of members of the National Orchestra Board, list of sponsors to the Manoel Theatre Management Committee, notes with details on performances and bookings at the Manoel Theatre, list of forthcoming events at the Manoel Theatre, foreword from BOV's chairman Joseph F. X. Zahra with his photo and signature, notes with photos on musical director Michael Laus and artistic director Werner Heinrichmöller, short note with photo on composer Pietro Mascagni and his works, synopsis of each act of the opera "L'Amico Fritz", lists of cast, chorus members and crew, note of acknowledgement from the event's producers to the sponsor Lufthansa, essay on BOV's support towards arts and culture, notes with photos on starring performers Miriam Gauci and Juan Gambina, notes on performers Albert Buttigieg, Alejandro Gallo, Claire Massa, Pauline Longo, Charles Vella Zarb and Simone Attard, note on Orkestra Nazzjonali, list of members of Orkestra Nazzjonali, note advertising the Theatre Museum, note advertising the Manoel Theatre Shop, and note advertising Manoel Theatre's food establishments Café Diva and Ristorante de Vilhena.
