Abstract: Manoel Theatre, and the Stradiviolin Studio present the programme for four grand concerts: a piano recital "The Russian Virtuoso", performed by pianist Igor Gryshin; two cello recitals titled "The Eternal Dance", performed by cellist Alfia Bekova; and a chamber orchestra concert performed by the Sofia Ladies Ensemble (AKA Ladies Chamber Orchestra ARCHI). All the performances were artistically directed by James Grech. The recital "The Russian Virtuoso" featured the musical works of Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Ravel, Rachmaninov, and Liszt. The recital "The Eternal Dance" featured Bach's six cello suites. The concert by the Sofia Ladies Ensemble featured the musical works of Mozart, Albinoni, Haydn, Boccherini, and Schubert. "The Russian Virtuoso" was held on the 26th of March, 2004, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. "The Eternal Dance" was held on the 27th and the 28th of March, 2004, at Sala Isouard, in the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. The concert performed by the Sofia Ladies Ensemble was held on the 31st of March, 2004, at the Phoenicia Ballroom, in Floriana.
Description: Two copies of programme included, one with pianist Igor Gryshin's signature, and the other without. Both programmes include welcome message from artistic director James Grech with his photo and signature, notes with photos on pianist Igor Gryshin and cellist Alfia Bekova, note with group photo on the Ladies Chamber Orchestra ARCHI, list of featured music in "The Russian Virtuoso" and "The Eternal Dance" including composers and descriptions, and list of featured music performed by the Sofia Ladies Ensemble including composers.
