Abstract: Manoel Theatre and the Stradiviolin Studio present the programme for the grand performance "Russian Virtuoso", starring pianist Igor Gryshyn. The recital featured the musical works of Chopin, Schumann, Liszt, Bach, Rachmaninov and Ravel. This recital likely replaced the originally planned piano recital "Diabolique", which was to be performed by pianist Vedran Milic. The performance was likely held on the 3rd of May, 2005, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta.
Description: Two copies of programme included, one with pianist Igor Gryshin's signature, and the other without. Both programmes include welcome message from artistic director James Grech with his photo and signature, note advertising the James Grech Cancer Fund including information on its purpose, information on where to donate, list of members of its board of trustees, list of acknowledgements and contact details, note with photo on pianist Igor Gryshyn, list of featured music including composers, note advertising forthcoming concert/dinner/dance featuring the Val Valente Band which was held in aid of the James Grech Cancer Fund, notes on the violin designs created by Antonio Stradivari, essay with photo on the Manoel Theatre, list of production crew, and list of acknowledgements. Programme is given no. 2260 in archival records, though a copy of it was held with the related Argentinian tango programme (archival no. 2206). Retrieved from the Manoel theatre records.
