Abstract: Manoel Theatre, the Valletta Rehabilitation Project, and St. James Cavalier, present the programme for a series of morning concerts in Valletta: titled "Classical & Romantic Arias for Soprano", "Cosmos Woodwind Ensemble", and "French Art Songs and Arias" respectively - all coordinated by Lena Grundberg. The concert "Classical & Romantic Arias for Soprano" was performed by soprano singer Marita Bezzina, with piano accompaniment from pianist Michelle Cachia Castelletti, and featured the musical works of Purcell, Mozart, Puccini, Mascagni, Verdi, Tosti and Gershwin. The concert "Cosmos Woodwind Ensemble" was performed by the Cosmos Woodwind Ensemble, which was made up of oboist John McDonough, clarinettist Godfrey Mifsud and bassoonist Ulrike Buhlmann. The concert "Cosmos Woodwind Ensemble" featured the musical works of Mozart, Haydn, and Tomasi. The concert "French Art Songs and Arias" was performed by soprano singer Pauline Longo, with piano accompaniment from pianist Alex Vella Gregory, and featured the musical works of Bizet, Fauré, Debussy, Delibes and Gounod. The concert "Classical & Romantic Arias for Soprano" was held on the 14th June, while the concert "Cosmos Woodwind Ensemble" was held on the 21st of June and the concert "French Art Songs and Arias" was held on the 28th of June, 2006. The concerts were all held at Sala Isouard in the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta.
