Abstract: Manoel Theatre, in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance throught the National Lotteries Good Causes Fund, presents the programme for the concert "Ad Honestam Populi Oblectationem" (AKA "For the Honest Entertainment of the People"), conducted by Brian Schembri, led by Marcelline Agius, and performed by the National Orchestra of Malta. The concert starred soprano singer Gillian Zammit and mezzo-soprano singer Sophia Grech. The concert featured the musical works of Charles Camilleri, Rossini, Puccini, Delibes, Donizetti, and Bizet. The performance was held on the 7th of December, 2006, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta.
Description: Two copies of programme included, one with conductor Brian Schembri's and singers Gillian Zammit's and Sophia Grech's signatures, and the other without. Both programmes include note on the National Lotteries Good Causes Fund, list of featured music including composers and their operas where applicable, note with group photo on the National Orchestra of Malta, list of members of the National Orchestra, list of members of the National Orchestra's board of directors, council of management and administration teams, notes with photos on conductor Brian Schembri and singers Gillian Zammit and Sophia Grech, and notes on featured music including few biographical notes on their composers written by Joyce Guillaumier.
