| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre, the Renaissance Cultural Foundation, and the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue between Cultures, in collaboration with the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts, present the programme for the Mozartfest Malta 2006. The event featured an art exhibition titled "8 Positions on Mozart" organised by the Werkstadt Graz; lectures and panels on Mozart led by Prof. Dr. Peter Revers; international master courses; two concerts; and a puppet performance of Mozart's opera "Le Nozze di Figaro" directed by Milan Sladek and produced by Milan Sládek Mime Theatre. The first concert in the event, titled "Song Evening" (AKA "Liederabend"), was performed by baritone singer Thomas E. Bauer, soprano singer Amelie Sandmann and pianists Siegfried Mauser and Ura Hielscher, and featured the musical works of Mozart and Schubert. The second concert featured in the event, titled "Mozart Evening" (AKA "Chamber Music Concert"), featured participants of the event's International Master Courses Gottfried Schneider (violin), Siegfried Mauser (piano), Irmela Bossler (flute), and Diethelm Kühn (clarinet), and featured in the Maltese Notte Bianca celebrations. The event was held between the 29th of September and the 29th of October, 2006, at several locations in Valletta including the St. James Cavalier, the Malta Society of Arts, Casino Maltese, and the Manoel Theatre. |
