| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre and Valletta Dramatic Company (V.D.C.) presents the programme for the 3-act operetta "Il Paese dei Campanelli", written by Carlo Lombardo, with music composed by Carlo Lombardo and Virgilio Ranzato, and artistically directed by George Micallef, with musical direction from Mro. Archibald Mizzi. The performance also featured dance choreography created by Lucienne Camilleri. The performance was held from the 11th till the 13th of April, 2008, at the Manoel theatre, in Valletta. |
| Description: | Two copies of programme included, one with performers'/crews' signatures, and the other without. Both programmes include director's note written by artistic director Joe Izzo with his photo, dedication to the late actress Gemma Portelli with a performance photo of her alongside Alfred Mallia and George Micallef in the V.D.C.'s production of Mikielang Borg's "Dik l-Affari" that was held in December 1976, photo of V.D.C.'s concert "Kantanapoli" that was held in Istitut Kattoliku in 2007, lists of cast, chorus members, dancers and children, list of crew from V.D.C., list of crew from Manoel Theatre, short note of acknowledgement from V.D.C. to Josette of "Unique Taste", cast photos, list of orchestra members, and note advertising V.D.C.'s forthcoming concert "Kantanapoli" to be held in November.
