Abstract: Manoel Theatre and the Johann Strauss School of Music present the programme for the School of Music's Prize Day, featuring a concert performed by the Johann Strauss School of Music's Orchestra (directed by Simon Abdilla Joslin), Brass Ensemble (directed by Michael Ciantar), and Youth Choir (directed by Simone Attard). The concert section of the event starred flautists Clara Galea, Laura Cioffi and Graziella Axissa, violinist Martina Wismayer, pianists Marija Vella and Ramona Zammit, mezzo soprano Rachel Curmi, cellist Philip Zammit, saxophonist/percussionist Cecil Jones, percussionist Luke Baldacchino, guitarist Edward Bonello, and synthesizer player James Zammit. The concert section of the event featured the musical works of Alan Menken, Mozart, Bach, Chopin, and Massenet. The event was held on the 28th of May, 2008, at Sala Isouard in the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta.
