| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre presents the programme for the 3rd International String Orchestra Festival, artistically directed by Karl Fiorini, and featuring concerts which included the Rotterdam Ensemble alongside musicians Carmine Lauri, Emanuel Salvador, and Brian Schembri and others. The concerts featured the musical works of Max Bruch, Karl Fiorini, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Milhaud, Stravinsky, Saint-Saëns, Franck, Shostakovich, and Haydn. The festival was held from the 13th till the 17th of April, 2009, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. Some concerts were held at Manoel Theatre's Sala Isouard. |

Both programmes include director's note written by artistic director Karl Fiorini, note on the Malta Heart foundation, notes on featured performers Brian Schembri, Carmine Lauri, Roberto Beltran Zavala, Emanuel Salvador, Simon Hester, Marina Meerson, Hara van Amersfoort, Amelia Santoso, Katja Dirven-Didychenko, Bas Duister, Marij van Gorkom, Jaike Bakker, Naia Mandaluniz, Benjamin Chavrier, Tamara Laredo, and Naomi Dekker and performing group the Rotterdam Ensemble, list of concerts including their dates, locations, lists of featured music, featured performers and notes on featured music, list of members of the Rotterdam Ensemble, and list of acknowledgements.
