Beyond Certainty, Volume Two explores how faith engages an increasingly plural, interconnected, and rapidly changing world. Moving beyond primarily intra-ecclesial concerns, the volume examines Christianity’s encounter with contemporary cultural, social, ecological, and anthropological challenges. Organised around the themes Engaging Difference and Flourishing Beyond, the contributions address ecumenical and interreligious dialogue, political polarisation, ecological concerns, sociocultural change, and questions raised by post-humanist thought. The second section focuses on human flourishing through reflections on disability, sexuality, conscience, forgiveness, spiritual renewal, and religious life. Throughout, the authors demonstrate how theological reflection remains inseparable from lived experience and attentive to voices on the margins. Rather than presenting faith as a system of fixed certainties, the volume proposes a vision grounded in trust, encounter, and openness to the Spirit’s continuing work in history.
