| Abstract: | It is my pleasure to introduce this latest issue of Stanislavski Studies, featuring 5 research articles, 2 book reviews, and 1 announcement. Working on this issue has been a very heartening experience. It allowed me to make contact with a number of authors who have never published with the journal before. This is in itself a very important consideration, as it reflects the general scholarly health of our discipline and the fact that, despite the challenges faced by contemporary academia, there are still plenty of scholars, historians, practitioners, and teachers who are contributing in engaging and original ways to the expansion of our knowledge on Stanislavsky and contemporary theatre. The journal remains strongly committed to assisting early career researchers and more seasoned scholars to get their work across to a broad audience. It also prides itself with offering real formation in scholarly publication, and in the next few weeks some exciting news will be shared on this. [excerpt] |
