| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre, in collaboration with the Bank of Valletta, present the programme for the 3-act opera "Alcina", written by Antonio Marchi, with music composed by George Handel, and artistically directed by Axel E. Schneider and Johannes Pölzgutter. The concert featured the participation of the Capella Leopoldina Ensemble, conducted by Maurice van Lieshout. The performance was held as part of the 11th edition of the BOV Opera Festival, on the 22nd and the 24th of March, 2010, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. |
