Abstract: Manoel Theatre, in collaboration with the Mediterranean Institute of the University of Malta, presents the programme for the Piano Festival Valletta 2010, directed by Alexei Galea. The festival featured piano masterclasses by Professor Yuri Didenko, lectures my Dr John Galea and Ms Diana Vlasenko, piano recitals by Prof Yuri Didenko and piano students, and a lecture on the "Miniature for in Rachmaninov's Oeuvre" by Prof Yuri Didenko. The included piano recital by Prof Yuri Didenko featured the musical works of Liszt, Rachmaninov, and Tchaikovsky. The event was held from the 1st till the 8th of February, 2010, at Sala Isouard in the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta.
Description: Programme includes message from festival director Alexei Galea with his photo, list of featured items in the festival including featured performers/lecturers/teachers and featured music and composers as applicable, essay with photo on pianist Yuri Didenko, note with related photo on the Malta Arts Fund, essay on composers Rachmaninov and Liszt and their legacies written by festival director Alexei Galea, and list of sponsors including some of their logos.
