Abstract: | The application of Anatomy to Forensic Medicine is well established. Examples of Anatomical peculiarities like cervical ribs and other peculiarities of the vertebral column which have been instrumental in establishing the identity of badly disfigured remains are quoted. The use of modern technology in building up the features of the face from skull remains are also exemplified. Finally, a case is quoted where a bite mark by the victim on his assailant was vital in establishing the identity of the assailant. The relevant literature is reviewed. |
