Abstract: Practical science, by which we mean the doing of experiments or practical exercises with scientific apparatus, usually in a science laboratory, has established a large and influential place in the science teaching of many countries (Woolnough, 1991). Practical work is considered important because it provides a means for children to investigate their world and develop a number of skills.
