Abstract: This project primarily explores the image as a vessel of memory and remembrance. It consists of a series of alchemically manipulated film photographs brought together as a collection of fragments. These conscious manipulations metaphorically represent the effects of concepts such as time, perception and impermanence on our recollection. There is a fine line between reality and the tainted visions brought about and reconstructed by our sub-conscious. Memories are warped, fragmented and forgotten, and through my practical work I aim to embody this process of destruction and recreation.
