Abstract: This dissertation proposes a practice-based research framework for community-driven public space projects, the objective of which is to improve the quality of life of its residents. The specific topic of research is centred around investigating the common concerns and priorities of residents with regards to the quality of life in their locality. In this context, quality of life is linked to the state of the locality's urban environment and its public spaces.
