Abstract: Learning objectives: To demonstrate how the anatomical spinal compartment affected by the pathological process can aid in narrowing the differential diagnosis and hence facilitate radiological interpretation.
Background: Spinal pathology can present a diagnostic dilemma unless a careful methodological approach is followed. Presentation may occur in an acute setting and hence familiarity with a compartment-based approach is imperative.
