Very likely, the Last Supper was the Jewish Passover meal to which Jesus gave a new significance. Officially, the Passover meal of the week Jesus died was scheduled for Friday, and therefore after Jesus’ crucifixion! However, according to a sectarian calendar Jesus could have held this meal on Tuesday, so logically before his death. Why did John shift the date? In this lecture, we will discuss the reasons behind this change.
The public lecture, led by Prof. Anthony Frendo will be held on Friday 14 March from 19:00 to 20:00 at Mount St Joseph Retreat House, Mosta
The event is free of charge and no booking is necessary.
