His Grace, the Archbishop of Malta, Mgr. Charles J. Scicluna, visited the University Gateway-turned-Immunisation-
His Grace thanked all those who were present, and encouraged all the people who were present to receive the vaccine. He underscored the moral and civic duty for all the people to come forward and receive the vaccine since this provided protection for the individual and all the society at large, especially those who are vulnerable. He then proceeded to pray with the volunteers and people present on this special occasion.
Prof. Nikolai Attard, the Dean of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, who was also one of those administering vaccines, thanked all students and the professionals who dedicated and sacrificed their Easter holidays for the good of the nation.
In an effort to counter vaccine hesitancy, Prof. Attard also urged everyone to follow the advice of the Health Authorities and to accept their invitation for the vaccination once they are contacted, as “this is an important aspect to control the pandemic and limit the spread of the virus, along with all the other measures ”.
