Eleven university-teams from across Europe developed modules for ITE. These modules cover subject knowledge on socio-scientific issues (SSI) and how to deal with them, implications for learning/teaching processes, pedagogical concepts to design lessons, and the role of teachers’ background which affects teaching SSI.
The ENSITE project organised a summer school for students in ITE. The summer school was intended to engage students from all over Europe in a variety of innovative activities and stimulate intercultural and social experiences. Michelle Debono, Patrick Charles Mamo, Daniel Mangion, Beatrice Micallef and Edward Thake, from the Faculty of Education, following the Master in Teaching and Learning with specialisation in science course attended the 10-day summer school hosted by Charles University in Prague.
The ENSITE project will come to an end in August.
