Say hello to the Class of 2025: 1,718 fresh UM graduates celebrating their achievement this November 🎓

Huge congratulations go to each of the 1,718 fresh University of Malta graduands, who are set to celebrate the successful completion of their studies this November.

This graduation season is kicking off with two Thanksgiving Masses being held on Monday 10 and Tuesday 11 November at the scenic St John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta.

The 1,718 individuals graduating will then be awarded their degree across 10 graduation ceremonies taking place from Thursday 13 until Wednesday 19 November at Sir Temi Zammit Hall. Graduands will be attending ceremonies at 14:00 and at 17:00, according to their respective course.

657 of these, or 38.2% of the latest cohort of graduates are males, whereas 1057, or 61.5% are females. The remaining 4, or 0.2% identify as X.

The first ceremony out of the 10 will be for Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy graduands, as well as ones from the Faculty of Engineering and the Centre for Labour Studies.

The Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy has the largest number of graduates this time round, with 251 students celebrating their achievements.

Other Faculties with a high number of graduates are: the Faculty for Social Wellbeing with 239 students, the Faculty of Arts with 193 students, the Faculty of Health Sciences with 186 students, and the Faculty of Laws with 169 students, respectively. The full programme is available online

Each of the 10 ceremonies will be also livestreamed via the University of Malta Facebook Page, Linkedin Page and YouTube Account.

UM Rector, Prof. Alfred J. Vella, extended his best wishes to the graduands, expressing his hope that several of them will continue their academic journey by pursuing postgraduate studies, and go on to contribute meaningfully to society by creating new knowledge through research; while the rest move on to work into diverse areas of the economy and thus fostering progress within our communities and beyond.

Meanwhile, postgraduate students will be graduating in March 2026.

Congratulations #UMgrads25!
