The Department of Dental Surgery provides the following areas of studies: The study and knowledge of general Medical and Surgical conditions of importance in the practice of Dental Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology, Oral Surgery and Pharmacology. The Department also participates in the teaching of the Dental Technology and Dental Hygiene Bachelor’s courses and the Diploma of Dental Surgery.

The Head of Department is Dr Maria Luisa Gainza-Cirauqui.
