The University of Malta (UM) values equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and is committed to making the necessary changes to ensure that an equitable environment is created, while celebrating diversity, promoting inclusion and protecting the human rights of all individuals working or studying at UM.
At UM we strive to ensure that all students and staff enjoy the opportunity to participate in any activity or initiative concerning the University. Through different initiatives, UM seeks to enable and facilitate the participation of staff, students, alumni and visitors.

UM has a Gender+ Equity Plan for 2022-2025 in place - approved by the UM Senate on 20 January 2022 and by Council on 17 February 2022.
