The UM academic year commences every October but you can apply online
from the previous November for your preferred course. Another intake, on a smaller scale, is held in February.
The majority of Master's degrees by Research and all Doctoral Degrees
(except for the Doctorate of Pharmacy degree) have more than one entry point. Prospective applicants can apply any time during the year. As part of the application process, applicants are required to submit a research proposal.
The deadline for all undergraduate and postgraduate courses commencing in October 2022 is 21 July at 14:00.
In the case of the Doctor of Medicine and Surgery course, the closing date for receipt of applications from applicants presenting overseas qualifications and degrees awarded by institutions, other than the University of Malta, is 15 March 2022 at 14:00. Certificates from UK examining boards are considered as overseas qualifications.
The closing date for receipt of applications from applicants who are not in possession of a Secondary Education (SEC) pass in Maltese and who are eligible to register for the Medical Maltese course being offered by the University of Malta is 15 March 2022 at 14:00.
