Abstract: Manoel Theatre and the Malta Song Festival Board present the programme for the National Pianists' Contest, featuring the musical works of Rachmaninoff, Mozart, Debussy, Beethoven, Chopin, and Liszt. The contesting pianists participating in this event were the following: Marthese Gauci. Joe Chetcuti, Edwin Demarco, Vincent Borg, Louise Gerada, Simone Camilleri, Anne Gauci, Evelyn Caruana Galizia, and Julie Cassar. The contest, which was presented by the compere Charles Arrigo, was held on the 26th of May, 1966, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta.
Description: Programme includes note on the Malta Song Festival Board of the Young Christian Workers Movement, note on the previous National Pianists' Contests, photos of participating pianists, list of contestants' names and the pieces they played in the event including their composers, photo of compere Charles Arrigo, short note on the Malta Song Festival Board and a list of its members, photo of Dr. Karl Gustav Wollenweber, list of Malta Song Festival Board activities planned yearly, list of acknowledgements, and list of Manoel theatre Management Committee.
