| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre and the Johann Strauss School of Music present the programme for a student concert performed by the School of Music's orchestra, and featuring the school's choir. The orchestra was conducted by Mario Bisazza, and led by Joseph Galea. The choir was instructed by Moira Barbieri, and featured pianist Myriam Moran, and soloists Jennifer Borg and Michelle Refalo. The concert featured the musical works of Carmelo Pace, Handel, Purcell, Debussy, Beethoven, Albéniz, Poulenc, Mozart, Bach, Rossini, Giuliani, and Haydn. Some of these musical works were applied into a theatrical performance of "Pinocchio", which was part of the event. The performance was held on the 24th of April, 1978, at Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. |
