Abstract: Manoel Theatre and the Ministry of Labour, Culture and Welfare, in association with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Cathedral Chapter, presents the programme for a concert including a performance of Brahm's Requiem op. 45 for soprano, baritone, orchestra and chorus, conducted by Mro. Joseph Vella, led by George Spiteri, and performed by the Manoel Theatre Orchestra and the Manoel Theatre Choir (led by Choir master Dion Buhagiar and Chorus instructress Marietta Magro). The concert starred soprano singer Uta-Maria Flake and baritone singer Ludwig Baumann. The performance was held as part of the International Music Festival 1981, on the 18th and the 22nd of September, 1981, at St. John's Co-Cathedral, in Valletta.
