Abstract: Manoel Theatre and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Culture present the programme for a series of events held in celebration of the official opening of the Manoel Theatre Foyer, presented by the Hon. Minister of Foreign Affairs and Culture, Dr Alex Sciberras Trigona. The event included an open day, poetry readings, and discussions with some performance extracts on improvisation in drama, composition in music, the relevance of the arts to Maltese society, and choreography in ballet. The series of events also included a concert, featuring the musical works of Carmelo Pace, Charles Camilleri, and Joseph Sammut. The events were held from the 21st till the 27th of May, 1983, in the Manoel Theatre Foyer (now known as Sala Isouard), in Valletta.
