Abstract: Manoel Theatre and the Chingford Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society (CADOS) present the programme for the 2-act musical "Half a Sixpence", adapted to the stage from H.G. Wells's novel "Kipps" by Beverley Cross, with music and lyrics composed by David Heneker, and directed by Janet Roust. The musical featured an orchestra conducted by Mro. Joseph Sammut, and choreography created by Carol Gannaway. The performance was held on the 16th and the 17th of May, 1987, at the Manoel theatre in Valletta.
Description: Programme includes producer's note with photo of the play written by Janet Roust, essay on CADOS, list of cast with some signatures, list of crew from CADOS with signatures, synopsis of musical numbers, synopsis of scenes, list of crew from Manoel theatre, descriptions of main characters including names of the actors playing them, and advert for the return of cellist Stefan Popov in an orchestral concert to be held at the Manoel Theatre on the 2nd of June, 1987.
