Abstract: Manoel Theatre and ActReacT present the programme for the 2-act musical "Sound of Music", written by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, with music composed by Richard Rodgers, and lyrics written by Oscar Hammerstein II. The performance was produced and directed by Ray Mangion, with musical direction from Paul Abela and assistant musical director Neville Gatt. The performance also featured choreography, partially created and led by assistant choreographer/dance captain Hannah Mizon. The performance was held in May, 2003, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta.
Description: Two copies of programme included, one with performers'/crews' signatures, and the other without. Both programmes include note with related photo on "The Sound of Music" as the world's best loved musical, photos of main cast members and cast playing the von Trapp family children, lists of cast and ensemble, synopsis of scenes, lyrics to featured song "Edelweiss", group photo of some cast members, list of production team members, list of orchestra members, list of acknowledgements, and message with related photo from director Ray Mangion requesting financial support for his son's medical expenses.
