Members of the University of Malta Community were amongst the recipients of the 10 Outstanding Young People (TOYP) awards of 2020.
They were awarded during a physically-distanced gala dinner held on Monday, 7 December 2020, and they were chosen by an international panel of judges from international JCI branches.
On an annual basis, Junior Chamber International (JCI) Malta rewards young people, who can inspire others to lead positive change.
The members of the UM community who won an award are as follows:
Prof. Andre’ Xuereb - Academic Leadership/Accomplishment award
Dr Alexia Rossi - Contribution to Children, World Peace and Human Rights award
Dr Ing. Marc Anthony Azzopardi – Medical Innovation award
Dr Melanie Zammit Burg – Moral and Environmental Leadership award
Ing. Mary Grace Micallef – Scientific and Technological Development award
