The Internationalisation Working Group of the Faculty of Health Sciences is constantly finding new ways to increase the global impact of our Faculty. One way to improve internationalisation is through research collaboration with institutions abroad.
To promote international research, this WG organised training on applying for Horizon Europe calls for healthcare lecturers and researchers from the Faculties of Health Sciences and Medicine.
Dr Guilherme Couto opened the Session held in the Conference Room at the Faculty of Medicine & Surgery with a welcome address to the participants, followed by an introduction by the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Dr Stephen Lungaro Mifsud. Next in line was Prof. Jonathan Borg from the Faculty of Engineering with his session entitled: Exploiting European Funding. Following Professor Borg's session, Ms Lili Kankaya from MCST presented her session: Horizon Europe - Health, Widening and MSCA calls.
This session was continued after a short coffee break by Mr Ian Gauci Borda and Ms Annalisa Cartabia.
At 12:00 (noon), a standing finger-food networking lunch followed in the Foyer at the Faculty of Health Sciences.
The event focused on calls that interest lecturers in healthcare, such as Horizon Health, Widening and Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA).
The event was well attended and informative to all participants.
International research improves our research skills, instils a more inclusive and diverse attitude, and helps put our university and researchers on the global map!
The Internationalisation Working Group Committee of the Faculty of Health Sciences would like to thank all the speakers and attendees for making this event so successful.
