As the summer days wane, the excitement for the KSU Freshers’ Week 2024 at the University of Malta is reaching a fever pitch. The campus is about to come alive with a whirlwind of activities, events, and new experiences during one of the biggest weeks on our calendar - a week that gives us all an energetic vibe like no other.
Orientation sessions offered by our International Office for students from overseas are already ongoing.
The KSU Freshers' Week 2024 promises to be a spectacular launchpad for new students, with the freshers themselves preparing themselves to dive into a week of endless opportunities to meet new friends, start their academic adventure together, and launching the next steps of their respective journeys.
As for the rest of us within the UM community, we are just helping set the tone for a transformative year ahead.
The programme will kick off with the Opening Ceremony at Sir Temi Zammit Hall, which will include the traditional procession of Academic Staff, welcome music by the University of Malta Ensemble, and Speeches by the University Rector and KSU President.
Immediately following that, Rector will visit the UM and KSU stands, officially opening the KSU Freshers' Week stands, where all students can discover an array of new experiences, grab enticing freebies and dive into interactive games.

- The Equity Office stand
- The APQRU stand
- The Degree Plus stand
- The National Blood Transfusion Service stand

As a fresher, attending the group meeting with the Registrar is going to be super useful - it's your chance to find out how things work, and what you need to know to get settled in. These group meetings are split according to the Faculty, Institute, Centre or School you will be part of.
