On 3 February, Prof. Suzanne Gatt, Dr Rosienne Camilleri, and Dr Charmaine Bonello led a thought-provoking seminar on policy recommendations aimed at enhancing the quality and inclusivity of Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC). These recommendations, developed through research from the Horizon Scirearly Project, provided a foundation for meaningful discussions among policymakers and key stakeholders on evidence-based best practices at both EU and national levels.
The seminar showcased key findings from Work Package 2 on ECEC, sparking a dynamic exchange of ideas on strategies to combat underachievement and early school leaving. The conversations emphasised the critical role of policy-driven reforms in shaping the future of early childhood education in Malta and beyond.
A heartfelt thank you to President Roberta Metsola, Prof. Valerie Sollars, Prof. Colin Calleja, and Prof. Josephine Milton for their support in this event.
A special appreciation to everyone who attended and contributed to this important dialogue!
