As in previous years, the Institute for Climate Change & Sustainable Development at the University of Malta was invited to participate during an event organised at the Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary School in Naxxar, on the occasion of Earth Day. Earth Day was celebrated on 22 April.
During the event, students had the opportunity to tour the various stands and discover the research carried our by the Institute. The Institute stand included posters from different Ph.D. researchers, as well as the Green Travel Plan poster, together with other travel planning information.
While visiting the stands students had the opportunity to participate in different map games related to earthquakes, landslides, and sea rise levels. High-visibility vests were distributed to students who walk or cycle to school while other freebies were given to other students who participated in the map games.
