Advisory groups
The University of Malta embarked on a Strategic Planning Process to update its vision and mission for the forthcoming years. The Strategic Plan 2020-2025 presents a set of overall goals and a roadmap on how to achieve them.
Working Group co-chairs and rapporteurs were invited to form part of the Advisory Groups focusing on the different strategic themes, led by the Rector and Pro-Rectors.
The role of the Advisory Groups was to:
- Gather the points raised by the respective Working Groups
- Advise the Senate and Council on the respective strategic themes
- Compile drafts of the Strategic Plan on the respective strategic themes
The strategic development exercise benefited from the direction and input of the following Advisory Groups:
- Learning and Teaching, chaired by Prof Joseph M Cacciottolo
- Research and Knowledge Transfer, chaired by Prof Ing Saviour Zammit
- Societal Factors and Impact, chaired by Prof Carmen Sammut
- Enterprise and Industry Impact, chaired by Prof Tanya Sammut-Bonnici
- National Impact, chaired by Rector Prof Alfred J Vella
- International Outlook, chaired by Prof Godfrey Baldacchino
- Sustainability, chaired by Rector Prof Alfred J Vella
