THE CHARLES V LECTURES

The Charles V Lectures is an annual series inaugurated in 2023 by the Embassy of Spain to Malta and the University of Malta’s Department of Spanish and Latin American Studies.

These honorary lectures are named in honour of Charles V, King of Castile and Aragon, to mark the long-standing fraternity between Malta and Spain.

This series brings to Malta some of the foremost scholars of the humanities to deliver lecturers on interdisciplinary themes related to Spain. The Lectures are organised by the Embassy of Spain and the Dept of Spanish with the collaboration of other Departments in the Faculty of Arts.
