The Department welcomes research-based or practice-based doctoral proposals. Our qualified and experienced academic tutors can provide supervision and mentorship in the following areas: terminology, technical translation, literary translation, audiovisual translation, inclusive arts and media. The Department welcomes cross-disciplinary projects and applied and experimental research investigating AI-driven localization workflows and technologies. Particularly welcomed are process-oriented projects exploring literary translation processes, situated translators, collaborative translation practices, as well as those employing ethnographic or autoethnographic methodologies.
